PTTX Remote Switch Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PTTX Remote Switch, an app published by PrismTechTx LLC, handles information when you connect it to compatible Digital Loggers power controllers. It applies to the app. Information you choose to submit through the PrismTechTx LLC website or support system is covered by the separate website Privacy Policy.
Who We Are
PrismTechTx LLC publishes PTTX Remote Switch. PTTX Remote Switch connects to power controllers that you configure; it does not require a PrismTechTx account or a PrismTechTx cloud relay for switch commands.
Information the App Uses and Stores
To operate, the app uses the controller addresses or hostnames you enter, controller model information, outlet names and states, and any username and password you provide for a controller. When you choose to view them, the app can retrieve information such as controller model, firmware, serial number, logs, and scripts from the controller.
The app also stores the switch profiles, outlet settings, appearance choices, media selections, custom themes, sequences, scripts or script backups, editing drafts, and local change histories that you create on the supported device running PTTX Remote Switch. Saving a controller username and password for a switch profile is optional.
How the App Uses Information
PTTX Remote Switch uses this information to display controller and outlet states, save your preferences, carry out commands you initiate, run saved sequences, show device information or logs you request, and resume editing drafts. While a controller dashboard is open, the app may poll that controller for updated outlet states. A user-started command or saved sequence may continue briefly while you switch apps; Android shows an ongoing generic notification during that work. The notification does not include controller addresses or logins. The offline Demo Switch simulates its controls and does not contact a real controller.
Controller Connections and Sharing
When you connect to a configured controller, PTTX Remote Switch communicates directly with its address. It sends the controller login you enter, status requests, outlet commands, and any script or configuration requests you initiate to that controller. A saved sequence can contact multiple controllers that you have added to the app. These requests do not pass through a PrismTechTx LLC account or relay server.
PTTX Remote Switch does not include a PrismTechTx analytics service for app activity and does not send controller logins, settings, or scripts to PrismTechTx LLC as part of its normal operation. Information may leave your supported device when you send a command to your controller, export or share a backup yourself, or choose to open the support website and submit information there.
Saved Logins and Connection Security
If you choose to save controller login credentials, the app encrypts them on the supported device using Android Keystore. Some controllers require HTTP during initial setup or normal use. HTTP does not encrypt the login exchange, commands, or responses between the app and that controller. Using an existing VPN can protect traffic to the VPN endpoint, but the remaining connection to an HTTP controller may still be unencrypted. You can choose HTTPS when your controller supports it and its certificate is valid for the address used. PTTX Remote Switch does not ignore invalid HTTPS certificates.
Backups, Media, and Other Files
You may export app settings to a readable JSON file in a location you select. Such exports can include controller addresses, outlet names, app preferences, themes, sequences, and scripts or locally saved script backups. Saved controller logins are excluded. The exported file is not automatically encrypted by PTTX Remote Switch; review it before storing or sharing it. Restoring a settings export does not restore controller passwords. Media selected for backgrounds or outlet appearance may need to be selected again after changing devices.
Files you choose to attach to a support request or otherwise submit to PrismTechTx LLC may contain personal information or details about your network. Information you submit through the website or support channels is handled under the website Privacy Policy.
Retention and Deletion
App settings and saved data remain on your supported device until you remove them, clear the app’s storage through Android settings, or uninstall the app. Removing a switch profile removes that profile and its saved login; other settings, sequences, and drafts may remain. To remove all of the app’s locally stored data, clear its storage or uninstall it. You must separately delete any settings export you saved elsewhere. Logs and settings held by your power controller are controlled through that controller and are not erased by deleting the app.
Your Privacy Choices
You choose which controllers to add, whether to save their credentials, whether to use HTTP or HTTPS when supported, whether to use the offline demo, and whether and where to export a settings backup. You may remove switch profiles or clear local app storage as described above. You may contact us with privacy questions using the address below.
Children’s Privacy
PTTX Remote Switch is a utility for managing compatible power controllers and is not directed to children under 13. PrismTechTx LLC does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app.
Links to Other Websites
PTTX Remote Switch may offer links to the PrismTechTx LLC website or to a controller’s web interface. Websites you choose to open may handle information under their own practices. The PrismTechTx LLC website Privacy Policy covers information you submit through our website and support services.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
PrismTechTx LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. The updated policy will apply to your use of PTTX Remote Switch after that date.
